Over the summer, two of my very best friends were ready for new puppies each from their own wonderful Hob Nob border collies.
Kim Terrill, who has now owned 4 Hob Nob border collies with her first being her heart dog Frisco followed by Summit then Steeple, now shares her heart and home with Steeple's son Force whose dam is Singe.
These are Kim sentiments...
I wanted to share how much Force has bought lots of happiness to my life.
It had been six years since I had a new puppy, I lost my heart dog Frisco in June 2010. I thought I was ready for a dog by December of last year so Jan bred Cachet to Steeple at my request, but it turns out I was not over losing Frisco and knew I could not open my heart to one of those lovely puppies.
As time went by I felt I was ready again so Jan offered to breed Singe to Steeple. Eight puppies were born which consisted of 4 girls and 4 boys, so I had lots to choose from. Of the eight puppies, Jan suggested "Ram", which I had lots of time to see if he was 'right' for me as I spent a whole week evaluating the litter. I was not sure if I wanted a male or female yet. As the week went on I started to fall in love with Ram and Steeple also seemed to like him. So I brought Ram home and together Jan and I came up with the name Hob Nob Classic Force of Power, aka Force, who now joined my household.
Force is everything I was wanting in my 4th Hob Nob puppy.
His level of confidence is amazing, he loves to work, play and even has his daddy's bark of pleasure. At 3 months of age I am seeing some of Frisco in him. His grandmother was Frisco's mother Static and I would have never thought I would see her in him but I am.
Steeple's presence is also coming through in Force of which I could not be happier!
I am having so much fun on our jounery and every day brings new joy.
A lot of people ask me why I got yet another Hob Nob border collie and my response is "WHY NOT!".
I have had four dogs from Jan...Frisco, Summit, Steeple and now Force and each of these dogs have given me so much in my life. They are so biddable, healthy and wonderful to train and live with.
Thanks Jan for picking yet another wonderful puppy for me!

Carol Schiefer, who now owns her fifth Hob Nob border collie with Brink as her first followed by Little Stat, Mist, and Trace, now shares her heart and home with Trace's son Schemer.
These are Carol's sentiments:
I wanted to share on Jan's blog about my Trace/Klepto puppy, Hob Nob Perfect Schemer.
When "Disney" was five weeks old, it wasn't excactly love at first sight for us.
Every time I went in the puppy pen to play, I would have five puppies climbing all over me. Disney, whom is now called Schemer, would be off to the side sleeping away. I guess he was showing me that he has an "off switch!"
Jan was confident that he was the puppy for me.
It took me the weekend to agree with her choice. Two weeks later, I flew back to WA to take Schemer and Tease (Belle) home. From the minute we arrived at home, there was an amazing connection between Schemer and me. When I look into his eyes, I feel as though he's an older dog in a puppy suit.
Right away, we started with tugging games, puppy recalls, and learning to be quiet in his crate. Potty training was a snap, thanks to Jan's puppy pan training. He hasn't had one accident in the house, and goes potty on command. I guess I could just go on and on about how wonderful Schemer is. If I could describe the puppy I hoped Trace would give me, I would describe my Schemer. He's smart, beautiful, biddable, outgoing, and a blast to train.
What lesson have I learned from all of this?
Trust Jan to pick my puppy!
From Brink to Schemer, she has never led me astray.
Thanks again, Jan, for breeding Trace to the wonderful boy, Klepto.
Thanks for picking my Hob Nob Perfect Schemer, as he is so perfect for me.
